In this course, you'll learn how to build and maintain a classroom library from the ground up, covering everything from setting up your space to developing a collection that reflects your students and your subject area. You'll explore how to evaluate materials for age and reading level appropriateness, discover curated lists to jumpstart your collection, and learn practical strategies for researching and choosing the best books for your classroom. Whether you're starting from scratch or inheriting a dusty pile of donations, this course gives you the tools to build a classroom library you're proud of and that your students actually use. Using Your Classroom Library: Integrating Reading into Every Subject You built the library, now it's time to put it to work. This course picks up where Building Your Classroom Library left off, helping teachers move from a well-stocked shelf to a genuine culture of reading that lives across every subject area, not just ELA.
