THIS COURSE CONSISTS OF 4 ON-DEMAND MODULES:Module 1: From Plan to Action: Executing Projects and Communicating with Purpose Executing a project means putting your plan into action and ensuring all moving parts work together toward a defined goal. This phase focuses on coordinating people, tasks, and resources while keeping stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the process. This session will teach you how to: launch your project execution phase, develop a communication plan tailored to your library environment, identify key stakeholders and their information needs, select appropriate communication tools and methods, and keep your team aligned and accountable as work progresses.
Module 2: Stay on Track: Monitoring Your Project for Success Monitoring your project means regularly collecting, recording, and reporting important project information. This session will teach you practical tools, such as burndown and Gantt charts, to help track project milestones and performance, and best practices for keeping your project moving forward with confidence.
Module 3: Controlling Your Project from Start to Finish A vital part of project management is maintaining control over the variables that can push your project off course. This session will teach you how to control things like scope, change, quality, cost, and risk, and best practices for keeping your project aligned with its original goals and stakeholder expectations.
Module 4: Expect the Unexpected: Managing Change and Risk in Your Project Every project encounters the unexpected, and how you prepare for and respond to change can make or break your success. This session will teach you practical approaches for how to identify and assess potential risks before they occur, how to develop a risk response plan, how to navigate and communicate organizational change, and best practices for building resilience and flexibility into your project from the start.
