The session will also address setting healthy boundaries to support respect and balance. Professional behavior is one of those things people talk about like it should be obvious. Usually it isn’t. A lot of staff are left trying to decode expectations in real time, while also navigating coworkers, feedback, boundaries, and the general weirdness of workplace dynamics.

This course takes that unspoken rulebook and makes it a lot more usable. You’ll look at what workplace success actually looks like in library settings, how to interpret expectations that go beyond the job description, and how accountability, etiquette, and follow-through shape trust on a team.

You’ll also explore what it means to be a strong team player in environments where people have different personalities, priorities, and communication styles. The course covers collaboration, conflict, and boundaries in a way that is practical, realistic, and grounded in real library work, so you can walk away with clearer instincts and better tools for handling everyday workplace situations.
