In this course, school librarians will learn how to support students with a wide range of learning needs through targeted strategies, inclusive programming, and meaningful collaboration with classroom teachers. You'll explore how to adapt your services and space to remove barriers, design programs that genuinely include SpEd students, and build the kind of partnerships with classroom teachers that actually follow through to the library. Whether you're new to working with SpEd students or looking to go deeper, this course meets you where you are.

COURSE FORMAT

This is a fully self-paced, asynchronous online course consisting of 4 modules. Each module includes video instruction, slides, readings, and reflective exercises designed to connect concepts directly to your daily work.

 

EXPECTED TIME COMMITMENT

Each module is designed to take approximately 3 hours to complete, for a total of 12 professional development hours. You may move through the course at your own pace and on your own schedule.

ON-DEMAND ACCESS
