This course gives public and school library workers a comprehensive, practical framework for building, auditing, and sustaining inclusive collections, and for defending them when it matters most. ABOUT THIS COURSEAn inclusive collection is an ongoing practice that requires ongoing attention. Self-Paced Course Materials Representation on the shelf matters, and getting there requires more than good intentions. In this course, you'll learn how to assess and weed your collection through an inclusive lens, conduct a meaningful diversity audit, and develop metrics that help you track progress over time. You'll go deep on collections for specific underrepresented identities, explore how to build and sustain momentum for inclusive collections work, and learn how to proactively protect your collection from censorship challenges. Whether you're just starting this work or looking to go further, this course gives you both the tools and the community support to keep going. This is a fully self-paced, asynchronous course.
