AI is already shaping how students learn, create, and explore ideas. As a school librarian or educator, you have a unique opportunity to guide them in using these tools with care and purpose. This three-part, self-paced series offers practical ideas for teaching AI literacy that fit the real-world challenges and demands of school libraries. Each course focuses on a different aspect of your work: teaching the foundations of AI, guiding students in responsible research, and using AI tools to improve library services.

The series is designed to build your confidence and skills through realistic, student-centered strategies that fit into your existing library or classroom practice. Upon completion of all three courses, you will earn your AI Literacy in Schools certification from School Library Journal.

This series is comprised of 3 courses:

Teaching AI Literacy in Schools (Materials available 9/15)
Ethical AI Research Skills for Students (Materials available 10/15)
